Inaugural Camp R.I.S.E to Launch Summer 2024, Offering Dynamic Youth Programming

Growth NC is thrilled to announce the debut of Camp R.I.S.E., a pioneering youth program set to revolutionize summer experiences for children in the Durham area. Camp R.I.S.E. is poised to deliver an innovative lineup of camps designed to foster holistic growth and enriching adventures for young participants.

Traditional Camp: Camp R.I.S.E. will commence its inaugural season with the Traditional Camp, running from June 17th to June 24th. This foundational program will feature a diverse array of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, and social-emotional programming. The Traditional Camp aims to cultivate social interactions, problem-solving skills, and healthy living habits while creating cherished memories for all attendees.

Preparatory Camp: From July 15th to July 19th, Camp R.I.S.E. will host the Preparatory Camp, tailored for pre-K and first-grade students embarking on their academic journey. This half-day camp will focus on building literacy skills, enhancing motor skills, and fostering social-emotional development, providing young learners with a solid foundation for success in the classroom.

Performing Arts Intensive: For young performers seeking to hone their talents, Camp R.I.S.E. presents the Performing Arts Intensive from August 5th to August 9th. Led by professional artists and teachers, this immersive camp will offer workshops in dance, music, theater, and more. Campers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills during the Annual Back 2 School Event on August 24th at the Community Life and Recreation Center at Lyon Park.

All camps will feature an exciting range of activities including performing arts, sports, indoor games, arts and crafts, STEM activities, and more, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for every participant.
